About me
"iBeSig" is a contraction of I, Bibek Sigdel and a philosophy: BeSig — Being Significant. Not famous. Not perfect. Significant: creating work that matters, solving problems that count, and showing up fully.
I build software products, interfaces, and ideas that push toward that standard — every line of code a small act of meaning-making.

Built full-featured admin portals for clients — user management, role-based access control, dashboards, and CRUD interfaces leveraging Django's powerful ORM and admin framework.
Designed and deployed Python scripts and pipelines that eliminated repetitive manual workflows — from data ingestion and report generation to email notifications and API integrations.
Developed an Arduino-based wearable that monitors breathing patterns during sleep, detects apnea events in real time, and triggers alerts — bridging embedded hardware with health data analysis.
Trained deep learning models on historical match data to predict soccer outcomes — combining feature engineering, neural networks, and evaluation metrics to improve predictive accuracy.
Built a maze game in Unity where players race an AI opponent through a procedurally generated maze. The computer uses pathfinding algorithms (BFS/A*) while the human navigates manually.
Architected end-to-end enterprise network topologies — including VLAN segmentation, firewall rules, routing protocols, and redundancy planning — tailored to each organisation's scale and security needs.
What drives me
Every decision is deliberate. No accidental complexity, no throwaway work. Quality is the strategy.
Build things people actually use. Metrics matter only insofar as they map to real human benefit.
Curiosity is a muscle. I stay uncomfortable by design — the edge of knowledge is the best place to work.
Significance compounds. Short-term gains that sacrifice trust or quality aren't worth taking.
The path
Running an independent practice delivering software solutions across web, automation, IoT, and AI. Building products that solve real problems for real clients — with full ownership from brief to deployment.
Deepened expertise in software architecture, networking, database systems, and applied AI — bridging theoretical foundations with industry-focused project work.
Developed backend systems, automation tools, and data pipelines in Python. Gained hands-on experience with production codebases, client delivery, and cloud infrastructure.
Built the engineering fundamentals — algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and software design patterns — that underpin everything I've built since.
